This year’s Walking and Outdoor Festival will be held from Friday 6th October to Sunday 15th October 2017 inclusive. It will feature more than thirty walks graded from gentle strolls to challenging day trails.
Walks are facilitated by knowledgeable volunteers and take place amid the stunning scenery of this often-overlooked area of Scotland. If your interests extend to wildlife or photography, then the Cowal Peninsula affords golden opportunities to follow these with the help of enthusiastic local guides. Families are catered for and evening events will be of interest if staying over for a few days in this beautiful part of Scotland.
Cultural and heritage events, such as ceilidhs, will also be on offer. A special feature this year will be walks, talks and entertainment celebrating the world-famous entertainer, Harry Lauder and his connections with Cowal.
