A representative from the Tobermory Harbour Association said ‘The Act Alfresco grant helped us to host a Back to The Wild Celebration Day during which we enhanced awareness and promoted respect for our marine environment among the local community.’ Picture shows visitors at the Back to the Wild Day discovering some local residents!
‘Act Alfresco’ was promoted across Argyll and the Isles earlier this year via the act website and social media channels. Seventeen groups in total were awarded £100 grants and successful projects were varied and diverse. From building gardens that can be enjoyed by members of the community to running research groups on fungi growing in grassland areas. Each project provided an opportunity to enhance, protect and promote the scenery and wildlife of Argyll and the Isles.
